The Temecula Eq-“Wine” Riders

Founded by two best “cowgirl friends,” Juanita and Kerry,  the TEWR are an exceptionally fun group of trail riders who are typically found roaming the vineyards of the Temecula Wine Country.  We are a community of  EXPERIENCED horse owners and trail riders who meet at least once a month for great riding, friendship,  food  and good wine.  We organize rides to various wineries around the Temecula Valley in addition to road trips, fundraisers, camping, and special events like parades.  If horses are involved, so are we!

After a long ride through the beautiful vineyards, we love to sit and enjoy a relaxing glass of wine, with lunch or dinner, at one of our favorite Temecula Wineries.   Rides over the  past years have been hosted by Keyways, South Coast, La Cereza, Maurice Carrie, Wiens, Cougar, Robert Renzoni, Wilson Creek, Leonesse, Filsinger,  Long Shadow Ranch, Baily  and Frangipani Wineries.  We consider our passion for riding our “therapy” and look forward to our trail rides with much anticipation.  “Good friends, food, wine and horses”…what more could you ask for?

We also participate in destination trail rides such as  Eagle Rock/Warner Springs, Anza-Borrego State Park, Escondido/Daley Ranch,  La Cresta,  Border Field, Camp Pendleton, Hellhole Canyon, Elfin Forest and Santa Margarita Creek, just to name a few.  We are proud to say that many of these rides have raised much needed funds for California's State Equestrian Parks.  In 2008, 2009  and 2010 we placed first or second  in our division in Temecula’s 4th of July Parade! (be sure to check out the pictures)  Santa Rosa Plateau’s Cowboy Jubilee, LAPD Mounted Officers, Canine Support Teams and our area Mounted Posse are all examples of  local  fund raiser equine events/groups that our club participates in and supports.  REINS in Bonsall and the Warner Springs High School FFA (Future Farmers of Amercia) program are also our friends.  Working closely with groups in our community such as the Rancho California Horsemen Association, we strive to preserve and utilize our riding trails in the Temecula Wine Country and the Valle De Los Caballos areas.

We truly are “Living the Life We Love,” here in our beautiful Temecula Valley!
